畢業於香港演藝學院及香港中文大學, 從小跟隨顧品德,利憲民和林克漢老師學習小提琴﹐後來與葉詠詩小姐和夏丁先生副修指揮。
1990-2008任香港小交響樂團副樂團首席,亦是該團的創辦人之一;曾擔任多項比賽之評審委員其中包括在奧地利舉行之“2013布拉拇斯冬季音樂節”,“香港青年音樂家大獎”及“弦樂交流會”。
近年來,除了在香港演藝學院指導青少年課程的學生,訓練管弦樂團及兩組弦樂合奏外,也受聘於庇理羅士女子中學、拔萃男書院(小學部)、聖士提反女校及香港中文大學,擔任小提琴導師又或兼任樂團指揮。

Goh Ching began his violin studies at the age of 12 with Mr. Benedict Cruft and Mr. Lim Kek Han. He has won various prizes at the Hong Kong Schools Music Festivals and served as Assistant Concert Master of the Hong Kong Youth Symphony Orchestra during their concert tour to China in 1983. In 1985, Goh enrolled at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts as a full time student, studying violin with Mr. Marcus Lehmann, conducting with Mr. John Harding and Ms. Wing-sze Yip. He was twice the recipient of the ESSO Oil Company Scholarship and was the concertmaster of the Academy Orchestra. After graduation in 1989, he began to work at the Music Office and in 1994 pursued further studies at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He was invited as adjudicator for Brahms Music Winter Festival 2013 in Austria, as well as competitions organized by Tom Lee Music Foundation, Music Office and Speech & Music Recital Development Foundation. He is currently the conductor of the Junior Symphony Orchestra of Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, orchestras of Belilios Public School, Wah Yan Hong Kong and Diocesan Boys’ School (PD). He is also a violin instructor at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts as well as the Chinese University of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Baptist University. The String Orchestra of Belilios Public School and Diocesan Boys’ School (PD) has captured many prizes at the Hong Kong Schools Music Festivals and Strings Interflow under his baton. Goh was the founder and guest conductor of the Hong Kong Sinfonietta and was its Associated Concert Master for 18 years. Goh Ching is currently the concertmaster of the Hong Kong Symphonia.
