黃慧晶自二零零零年起任教於香港教育大學文化與創意藝術學系,專任培訓中、小學以及幼兒音樂教師。 黃氏於二零零一年創立香港教育大學手鈴隊,自二零零九年起擔任「師.鈴」的音樂總監,經常應邀出席本地及海外之表演。
黃氏曾於亞太音樂教學研究研討會發表有關手鈴教學論文。二零零八年七月於意大利舉行的國際音樂教學研討會獲邀主持手鈴教學工作坊及表演。二零一零年首次正式帶領香港教育大學手鈴隊出席於日本大阪舉行的國際手鈴座談會。其後每隔兩年帶領香港教育大學同學前往不同國家地區參與國際音樂教學研討會及國際手鈴座談會,代表香港教育大學作表演及交流。
黃氏積極推廣各類的音樂教學活動,除了舉辦手鈴音樂會、工作坊作交流及分享外,更經常獲邀主持音樂教學以及奥福音樂教學工作坊。近年專注編寫幼兒音樂、小學以及為有特殊需要學生設計音樂教材。 黃氏現為香港奧福音樂協會副會長、創會成員、董事以及前任會長(2014 - 2017),同時亦曾任香港達克羅士協會副會長 (2008 - 2019)。出任香港手鈴節顧問、校際手鈴比賽、香港聯校音樂手鈴大賽及手鈴國際大賽評審。
WONG Wai Ching Zerlina has been teaching at the Department of Cultural and Creative Arts of The Education University of Hong Kong since 2000. She is the Founder and Artistic Director of the EdUHK Handbell Ensemble and EdRingers’ Handbell Ensemble.
Ms. Wong is regularly invited to conduct handbell and music teaching workshops for music teachers. Her research paper on the use of handbells in music teaching has been selected to present and demonstrate at the 4th Asia-Pacific Symposium of Music Education Research.
In 2008, she presented a handchime teaching workshop at the 28th International Society for Music Education (ISME) World Conference of music education in Italy. In 2010, she has led the EdUHK Handbell Ensemble to join the 14th International Handbell Symposium in Osaka, Japan. In 2012, she also led the EdUHK Handbell Ensemble to perform in the 30th ISME in Greece. Thereafter, she would regularly lead the EdUHK Handbell Ensemble and EdUHK music students to participate the ISME conference and International Handbell Symposium.
Ms. Wong is the founding member, board of director and President (2014-2017) of Hong Kong Orff Schulwerk Association (HOSA). She is currently the Vice-President of HOSA since 2022. She has been the Vice-President (2008-2019) of Dalcroze Society of Hong Kong. Ms. Wong has been constantly being the consultant and adjudicator of Hong Kong Handbell Festival, International Handbell Competition and Join School Music Competition. She is also an author for primary music textbooks, early childhood and special needs’ music teaching who dedicated herself into music education and handbell teaching.
